Danish Care Foods (DCF)
Danish Care Foods (DCF) was formed in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, in 2018 due to a nutrition initiative starting in 2013. In 2013, our sister company Vissot was approached by the Institut de Recherche pour le Development (IRD) with the University of Copenhagen (CU), Department of Fisheries, Post-harvest Technology & Quality Control (DFPTQ) and UNICEF Cambodia to develop a ready-to-use therapeutic food (RUTF) and a ready-to-use supplementary food (RUSF) to fight undernutrition in Cambodia. The positive outcome from the initiative for a locally produce RUTF/RUSF give clearer vision & mission to establish DCF.
DCF desires to improve the availability of locally made nutritious food products for pregnant- and lactating women and 6-23 months old children. DCF strives to ensure every child's and women's right to better nutrition and health status.
